Marissa D'Orazio


Marissa D'Orazio is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she earned her degree in English and a minor concentration in Media Studies. In high school, she competed in more than six different speech events for the Northern Virginia Forensics League and won Regionals for her original oratory. At UVA, she served for a year as an editor of Charlottesville's oldest daily paper, The Cavalier Daily. In her spare time, she has worked as a leader for Rec-PAC, a recreational, educational camp for elementary school students, and volunteered at a homeless shelter in Brownsville, TX. She is working towards a career in education and plans to teach in a private school next year.
